The Worshipful Master, Officers and Members of Lion Lodge, Whitby welcome you to our web site.

We would like to show you a little of our history, what we do as Masons. our charitable work and how, if you are thinking about Freemasonry or becoming a member, we could help. Freemasonry is an ancient and honourable society based on three great principles – brotherly love, truth and relief. This, with other principles in freemasonry help towards making a good man better.

Lion Lodge is within the Masonic Province of Yorkshire North and East Ridings and it is governed by the United Grand Lodge of England.

Installation of the new Lion Lodge Worshipful Master, W. Bro Peter Green PPGStdB (Lincs)

On Monday 17th January, 2022, Lion Lodge installed our new Worshipful Master, W. Bro Peter Green. The ceremony was expertly performed by W. Bro William Morton, who has managed the lodge as Master for the last three years during the Pandemic.

The Principle guest was The Representative of the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master; W. Bro. Eddie Wildman PG Org., (pictured below with the Worshipful Master at the Festive Board), accompanied with his DC and his designated driver W. Bro. Malcolm Forbes.

The installation was attended by twenty eight brethren with visitors from Caedmon Lodge 6965 and from Provincial Grand Lodge. At the Festive Board there was a collection for charity, totaling a sum of £180:00, along with the lodge donation to Provincial Grand Lodge Charities.
